Our Mission

We are members of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) from Brigham Young University - Hawaii located in Laie, Hawaii who have come together to improve education on the tiny island of Tuvalu.

Tuvalu has been identified and taunted throughout the political and scientific debates on climate change issues, widely on international forums.  The pressing matter remains, they are a small island state that needs assistance in resources for their children to be able to cope. Without this, social conditions – in particular schooling – will worsen, and the investments required for successful climate adaptation will merely delay the inevitable demise of this Pacific nation, which their citizens are justifiably proud to call home.

In February 2011, SIFE members will be visiting Tuvalu to deliver educational materials and teach hands-on workshops to help the people acquire job skills necessary upon their departure.  We would greatly appreciate a donation of any educational supplies and materials you are willing or able to offer.  We will also accept monetary donations in order to fund the purchasing of supplies.   SIFE needs a variety of materials ranging from pens, pencils, paper, erasers, markers, binders, and notebooks to any other basic school supplies.  In return for your generosity, we will include your company name in our pamphlets and presentation at a worldwide conference early next year.

Join us in the cause! Mahalo.
